Renewal:
A renewal extends the domain name for a 1 to 9 years period. Renewal procedure must be carried out before the domain's expiration date otherwise the domain will switch to quarantine status for a 40 days period before being removed. During this status, the domain is no longer active but can still be restored.

Change of owner:
This procedure is called a “trade” and allows the owner to sell a domain name to a third party. During a trade, the seller and the buyer receive an e-mail for approval from the registry.
