Registration:
All of the following people can register the .FR domain name of their choice, the owner (applicant) must be:
- an individual residing in France and over the age of 18.
- a legal entity like:
- owners of registered trademarks ( INPI, OMPI, etc ) valid in France
- french companies or foreign companies with a registered office in France
- french associations / self-employed people with a SIREN number

If you are a company registered outside France, you can register a
.FR with our
domain trustee service.
Also the administrative contact must reside in France !. If you meet the requirements above but don’t have an address in France, NETIM can be your local representative contact with our
local presence service.
Renewal:
A renewal extends the domain name for one year. Renewal procedure must be carried out before the domain's expiration date otherwise the domain will switch to quarantine status for a 30 days period before being removed. During this status, the domain is no longer active but can still be restored.

Changement de titulaire
This procedure is called a “trade” and allows the owner to sell a domain name to a third party. During a trade, the seller and the buyer receive a mail for approval from the registry. When both responses are positives, the trade is completed.
