Until 6th december 2011, the rules in force are:
- any individual residing in France
- any company registered in France
- any trademark valid in France

Renewal:
A renewal extends the domain name for one year. Renewal procedure must be carried out before the domain's expiration date otherwise the domain will switch to quarantine status for a 30 days period before being removed. During this status, the domain is no longer active but can still be restored.

Change of owner
This procedure is called a “trade” and allows the owner to sell a domain name to a third party. During a trade, the seller and the buyer receive a mail for approval from the registry.
