Registration:
If your .IT domain name is still available, you can register it without any restrictions whether you are a company, organization or private individual. However the owner must reside within one of the European Union states.

If you are a company registered outside the European Union, you can register a
.IT with our
domain trustee service.
In order to complete the registration, the owner must sign an application form for domain registration in
.IT and sent it back to NETIM. The registration will not be accepted if the document is not provided. (NETIM will provide this document prefilled by e-mail).
Renewal:
A renewal extends the domain name for one year. Renewal procedure must be carried out before the domain's expiration date otherwise the domain will switch to quarantine status for a 30 days period before being removed. During this status, the domain is no longer active but can still be restored.
