.LV domain name

Registration:

There are no special conditions for registering .LV domain names. If your .LV domain name is still available, you can register it without any restrictions whether you are a company, organization or private individual. You do not need to reside in Latvia or, for companies, to be set up in Latvia.

  Caution the proposed domain name can't be:

• the name of a geographical locality or object. The names of towns, villages or parishes can be used only by their self-government bodies.
  
• a person’s name in Latvia

Renewal:

A renewal extends the domain name for one year. Renewal procedure must be carried out before the domain's expiration date otherwise the domain will switch to quarantine status for a 30 days period before being removed. During this status, the domain is no longer active but can still be restored.

In other words, if your .COM.LV domain name is still available, you can register it without any restrictions whether you are a company, organization or private individual. You do not need to reside in Latvia or, for companies, to be set up in Latvia.
