There are no special conditions for registering .RO domain names. If your .RO domain name is still available, you can register it without any restrictions whether you are a company, organization or private individual. You do not need to reside in Romania or, for companies, to be set up in Romania.

Renewal:

A renewal extends the domain name for one years. Renewal procedures must be carried out before the domain's expiration date otherwise the domain will be removed.

Change of owner:

This procedure allows the owner to sell a domain name to a third party. A form duly signed by the seller and the buyer must sent back to NETIM.

It is intended for use by not-for-profit or public service enterprises (as non-exhaustive examples, charities, trades unions, political parties, community groups, educational councils, and professional institutions) but it is a fully opened domain.
