.RU domain name

Registration:

There are no special conditions for registering .RU domain names. If your .RU domain name is still available, you can register it without any restrictions whether you are a company, organization or private individual. You do not need to reside in Russia or, for companies, to be set up in Russia.

Renewal:

A renewal extends the domain name for one year. Renewal procedure must be carried out before the domain's expiration date otherwise the domain will be suspended for a 30 days period before being removed. During this status, the domain is no longer active but can still be reactivated. A domain name can't be restored after deletion.

Change of registrar:

Actually it is not possible to transfer your .RU to NETIM.

Change of owner:

This procedure allows the owner to sell a domain name to a third party. The procedure must be followed directly at RU-Center.

Registration:

There are no special conditions for registering .COM.RU domain names. It is intended for use by commercial enterprises and businesses but it is a fully opened domain.

In other words, if your .COM.RU domain name is still available, you can register it without any restrictions whether you are a company, organization or private individual. You do not need to reside in Romania or, for companies, to be set up in Romania.

There is an alternative to the .RU extension. As a CentralNic accredited registrar, you can register domain names in .RU.COM with NETIM.

The .RU.COM domain is a subdomain of .COM for the zone of Russia.
