What is IDN ?
An Internationalised Domain Name is a domain name that can contain characters not defined by the ASCII standard. These characters include most of the accented letters used in different European languages and other characters that are not found in the Latin alphabet.
Registering accented domain names
NETIM allows you to register domain names with all the characters authorised in the following extensions:
.AT - 34 accented characters
.CH - 32 accented characters
.DE - 92 accented characters
.EE - õ, ä, ö, ü, ,
.ES - 13 accented characters : á, à, é, è, í, ï, ó, ò, ú, Ü, ñ, ç, ll
.EU - List of supported characters
.FI - 3 accented characters: å, ä and ö
.FR - 30 accented characters: ß à á â ã ä å æ ç è é ê ë ì í î ï ñ ò ó ô õ ö ù ú û ü ý ÿ œ
.GR - grec alphabet supported
.HU - 9 accented characters : á,é,í,ó,ö,õ,ú,ü,u
.IS - 10 accented characters
.IT - 21 accented characters : à,â,ä,è,é,ê,ë,ì,î,ï,ò,ô,ö,ß,ù,û,ü,æ,oe,ç,ÿ
.LT - 9 accented characters
.LU - 17 accented characters : ä ö ü à â æ ç è é ê ë î ï ô ù û œ
.LV - 12 accented characters: ē ū ī ā š ģ ķ ļ ž č ņ ŗ
.NO - 23 accented characters
.PL - 92 accented characters
.PT - 12 accented characters: á à â ã ç é ê í ó ô õ ú

When passing your order, you can indicate the domain name in its form with accents or as its ACE chain. Our IDN conversion tool determines the domain name's encoding in IDN or ACE.
