Procedure for transferring .EU domain names
When you request a transfer for your .EU domain name to NETIM, the procedure below is followed. After transfer, we become the registrar of your domain name.
Transfer procedure
Requirements:
To initiate the transfer of a .EU domain name, you will be asked to provide an authorization code (AuthID). You can obtain it from your current domain name's registrar.
Some registrars, like NETIM, have implemented a protection against transfers to approve or reject automatically the requests. In this case, you must ensure that this protection is disabled
Different stages:
Once your order has been confirmed, we will send a request for the transfer of your domain name to the registry with the autorization code
- If the authorization code is valid, the transfer is immediately carried out.
- If the authorization code is valid, the transfer is cancelled.
Once the transfer has been finalised, the domain name's expiration date is extended for a one-year period. For example, if the domain expires on 2013-12-30 , the new expiration date will then be 2014-12-30. You can transfer your domain whenever you want, no need to wait for the expiration in order to complete the domain transfer.

- Deadline for transfer: the day before expiration of the domain name
- Best date for transfer: Not less than 1 week before expiration of the domain name
