Requirements
In order to proceed with a transfer, the administrative contact of the domain name must confirm the operation by email or by fax.

Different stages
Once your order has been confirmed, we will send a request for the transfer of your domain name to the registry. The latter will contact the administrative contact to request its approval by email, with a link to a secure web page:

  • In the event of acceptance within 15 days, the transfer is immediatly carried out.
  • In the event of refusal, the transfer is cancelled.
  • In the event of failure to reply within 15 days, the transfer is cancelled.

Regarding the confirmation by fax: Download the paper form.
The transfer can be approve after 7 days by fax (for exemple when the email address is not longer valid). In this case, a manual check is performed by the registry:

  • In the event of acceptance, the transfer is immediatly carried out.
  • In the event of refusal, the transfer is cancelled

The full transfer procedure can therefore take 15 days. Nevertheless, it can be carried out within 24 hours if the owner's confirmation is given quickly.

Once the transfer has been finalised, the domain name's expiration date is extended for a one year period starting from the date of the end of transfer. For example, if the domain expires on the 12/31/2010 and if the transfer is carried out on the 09/15/2010, the new expiration date will then be the 09/15/2011.

  Important information

  • Deadline for transfer: the day before expiration of the domain name
  • Ideal date for transfer: 2 weeks before expiration of the domain name
  • The admin's email address must be valid in order to receive the confirmation request emailed from the registry. However you can confirm by FAX.
  • The current registrar for your domain name may not oppose the transfer to NETIM, given that only the administrative contact has the right to confirm the transfer. Nevertheless, if the registrar is defined as administrative contact or has specified his own email address for the administrative contact, you may confirm by Fax.
