Create a dotBrand TLD

Make your brand your own TLD and become the sole owner of your digital territory. With a dotBrand, there is no longer any confusion: your customers know that your website is 100% authentic and official. You eliminate the risk of fraud, cybersquatting and impersonation.

Your TLD is no longer shared: it becomes an exclusive and secure space, entirely under your control.

The next ICANN round is scheduled for April 2026. The previous ICANN application window took place in 2012: there is no guarantee that this opportunity will arise again for another 10 years. Get ready now!

FAQ

The evaluation fee set by ICANN is USD 227,000 per application.

In addition, there are various additional costs:
  • Registry Service Provider (RSP) fees,
  • Third-party escrow fees,
  • Support, preparation and drafting of the application file,
  • As well as any legal or administrative support.
A total budget of at least €500,000 should therefore be allocated for the first year, followed by a minimum of €25,000 per year for the operating and maintenance costs of the extension.

Yes, that is entirely possible.

For a generic extension, management costs will depend mainly on the volume of domains registered and the management of registrar accreditations

In the case of a geographical (or community) extension, the same principles apply, but the application review fees are increased by approximately USD 25,000 by ICANN, due to the additional checks required for this type of extension.

Yes anyone can create a dotbrand, however it is imperative that the project be supported by a company.

The management agreement concluded with ICANN for a .brand extension is established for an initial term of 10 years, renewable at the end of this period.

The application period for the next phase of the ‘new gTLDs' program is scheduled for the second quarter of 2026, with an estimated opening date of April 2026.

Once this period has ended, no date has yet been set for a future session.
For reference, the previous application opportunity was in 2012.
