From February 14th to May 14th of 2024, the first level extension .TR is on launch.
During this submission phase, the holders of a second level domain name (.com.tr, .org.tr, etc.) registered before August 25th of 2023, can request the registration of the matching domain under the .TR.
From May 14th to June 14th of 2024, the .TR registry will check the requests received to make sure that the rules are respected. The attribution will be done as follow : .kep.tr > .av.tr > .dr.tr > .com.tr > .org.tr > .net.tr > .gen.tr > .web.tr > .name.tr > .info.tr > .tv.tr > .bbs.tr > .tel.tr
During this period, you can also submit your pre-application registration requests.
The .TR general availability will start from 14th june 2024.
There is no specific procedure related to the registration of a domain name.
.TR domain names are allocated on a "first come, first served" basis.
The .TR requires the signature, by the holder, of a transfer request form.
This document will be sent to you by email once your order has been validated.
Transfer may take several days due to manual processing.
When the transfer is finalised, one year is added to the expiry date of the domain name.
It is currently not possible to change the holder of your domain name.
The .tr extension does not support special characters.
